This saying is really rubbish. The most famous example is how Jehnnd was burned to death by her own peole, by those she sacrifice herself to save.
Ｊｅａｎ－Ｊａｃｑｕｅｓ　Ｒｏｕｓｓｅａｕ(卢梭) was drastically criticized by Faute à Voltaire and the government of Franc for his most great works. All kinds of rumour and slander from those famous ideologist, litterateur and philosopher drove Ｒｏｕｓｓｅａｕ to mad.  
However, the history proved that Jehnnd was a heroines and Ｒｏｕｓｓｅａｕ was a great ideologist. They could not be understood because they were much too greater to be understood, or they were too great that people of their time would do everything to denigrate them because they were just too jealous.
 
阁下或者不懂什么叫做三人成虎，那么就请想想贞德的例子，贵国的女英雄就是那么被她热爱的法国，被她牺牲自己拯救的法国人处以火刑的；
另一个贵国历史上的例子就是卢梭，他被法国政府和法国社会屏弃，以伏尔泰为代表的一群思想家文学家哲学家把他逼迫到疯狂的边缘。
但历史证明贞德是英雄而卢梭是最伟大的思想家，他们之所以遭受迫害，其一在于他们的伟大为世人所不理解，其二在于世人疯狂的嫉妒。

我都不敢再复制那信了，虽然我觉得那里面的观点是个人观点，且也不被我所赞同；但是我不明白为什么会被删。这个时候我真的想到那个法国人说的在中国的互联网上，屏蔽了很多东西～～□□老大，我在替你说话，你啪的一掌拍来，刚好就堵住了我的理由啊～～～

估计是查一些敏感词汇,前些日子有朋友做网站讲述XZ真实历史,我翻了一些有关的档案想发给他,怎么样也发不过去.......

可能是我们骂滴太犀利了，怕我们伤到外国友人的感情吧……
